Desde el año 2001 ha participado en proyectos de instrumentación relacionados con radio telescopios tales como CBI, QUIET, OVRO, radiómetros de 183 GHz, ALMA, CLASS, CCAT-p y caracterización atmosférica del Observatorio Chajnantor en Chile. Actualmente es Profesor Asociado en la Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, teniendo a su cargo el Laboratorio de Astro-Ingeniería y Microondas. Lidera el Proyecto MARI para identificar sitios libres de radio interferencias en el rango 50-200 MHz y el Proyecto MIST, instrumento en construcción para medir la señal cosmológica de HI durante la Epoca de Re-ionización del Universo.
Civil Electrical Engineer from the University of Chile and Doctor of Engineering Sciences. Since 2001 he has participated in instrumentation projects related to radio telescopes such as CBI, QUIET, OVRO, 183 GHz radiometers, ALMA, CLASS, CCAT-p and atmospheric characterization of the Chajnantor Observatory in Chile. He is currently Associate Professor at the Catholic University of the Blessed Conception, being in charge of the Astro-Engineering and Microwave Laboratory. He leads the MARI Project to identify free radio interference sites in the 50-200 MHz range and the MIST Project, an instrument under construction to measure HI's cosmological signal during the Re-ionization Period of the Universe.
